Velocity Sailing will be raiding Europe for the next month. I, along with my girlfriend Jen and sailing buddy Don, will be in Amsterdam for about 5 days. Then, we will be using our 21 day Eurail pass and moving about several countries, including Germany, Greece, Italy, France, Spain, Croatia, and several others. To end the trip, I will be sailing in Round Texel at the end of June.
I am already in Amsterdam, and I would love to find someone to go sailing with. I brought all of my gear (jacket, harness, clothing, etc). PM me if you are interested.

It will be cool to see how you stack up against some of the world's cat sailing greats, like Wouter. Good luck at Texel.
Man, Dessert Trey,
Your folks must stay broke.:) Congrats on the Tybee. My sister in-law and family are In Croatia. Alot of sailing and great scenery, they've been trying to get me to go for awhile.I'd rather hit the carribean.

Wouter,
Why wont you come to Texel again?
You are really missing out on great racing and atmosphere.

I think it costs to much for the "product" that is delivered. And their is a high risk of damage by some dummy T-boning you in the surf on the start-line. Currently I don't have any money to spend on repairs.
But also Texel gave me a really bad taste in my mouth last time I was there. I had payed several hunderd bucks to be there including some 150 bucks for the entry fee. But when we arrived with out car to make use of our "reserved" parking slot we were told that the invited guests of the sponsor had used up all parking, so we had to double back a few km and park our gear (with the sailing gear) a long waaaaaaay from our boat. We had to walk in our sailing gear to our boat for roughly 30 minutes. I'm never doing that again and this translated in actually never doing Texel ever since then.
I think Texel had gotten to commerical (maybe have changed back since then, but I wouldn't know as I haven't been there since)

Yeah, I am excited to get my butt kicked by the sailors over here. It'll be a fun trip nonetheless...
PS: My folks don't drop a dime on my sailing trips or exploring adventures. It's all from money I earn. They shouldn't pay for my fun.

Trey,
I can't believe you are not just wiped out from Tybee to make a trip to Europe already. Have fun on your trip. Congrats on your Tybee finish and good luck in the Texel.
