Tiger Pitchpole - 08/08/07 11:53 AM

Lots of flips last Sunday in Rochester when the wind filled in unexpectedly.
Three nice heavy air races.

Yes, Sunday was awesome. I have some bruises to prove it.

Looks like a bear away flip. Rob and Darcie have their spinnaker up while Moyra and Cabot do not. I cannot see the mark but it must be there somewhere. Nice job Rob staying out from under that!

Did you see that there are more Tigers in that regatta than 16A's? Isn't that H16 country? I love to see that!

Great sailing John Bauldry and Giselle Vaziri. Bob O and Wicked Steph are sure a hard team to beat.

Can't save it with the crew hanging by the bow :-) MIGHT have saved it with a chicken line that didn't let him go forward.

Hey Dan.
It's still 16 country, but rapidly becoming Tiger country also.
All the regatts are a bit down in attendance this year. Having two Nationals in the middle of July really pulls down the normal regatta numbers.
I like sailing all season and then travel to a September/October Nationals.

There were only nine 16 A's but the top three skippers are all multiple National Champions. It still wasn't easy.

Hey Dan...
That was a wicked nasty auger-in. But it didn't matter. You should have seen the big smiles on Moyra and Cab's faces on the beach after the race. It was a great day of sailing. I'm glad that the weather mark boat had a camera to catch the action for prosperity. I agree with Pat about having the Nats at the end of the season. Glad that the F18's are in October. See you there.
