Anyone from Houston area going to Spring Fever?? - 02/12/08 03:42 PM

I'm interested in a boat in the Bay City, TX area and would like to see if anyone could double stack it or tow it on a trailer to the race. It is a 15 footer, so it isn't that heavy. I am willing to pay for gas and a transport fee!!

I could probably take it to Pensacola with me for Nacra Mid-Winters.

I live in Houston (Katy) and Pensacola (Perdido Key), and go back and forth quite often. Next trip to Florida is first weekend in March and Easter weekend.

Dan:
If Lee can get it from Houston I should be able to get it from Pensacola to Hartwell.

Philip, I'll call and see if we can work it out. It has a trailer, so I don't know what we would do to get that to the race as well.

It is a Supercat 15..

I may be able to put a hitch on my trailer and tow them tandem as long as papers and lights are good.

I saw seveal RV's towing SUV's, towing boats, last month in Florida. I didn't think it was legal but nobody was being pulled over...

it's legal in some states. Looks like a great way to get some stuff around but you can forget trying to back up!

I tow two trailors all the time, it is pretty easy as long as you don't ever get in a situation where you need to back up.

I was looking at that boat, it looked like it could be alot of fun.

I am always amazed at the guys who could back up two trailers. My dad would do it all the time with the tractor, bailer, and hay wagon up the hill and into the barn. I can't get up enough nerve to do it with the car and one trailer.

Don Cook? in Katy?

What, where, when, and how come we haven't seen you around the dike, etc.

I don't know if you remeber me, but I met you in Florida, I think it was at round Island.

YOu should enter your ARC 22 in the Great Texas 300 in June, you could race Banks' SC22.
