A friend of mine went to France for the summer and may have the oppertunity to tour the Bologne Conception shipyard AKA Cirrus Catamarans. It looks to be a pretty nice rig. Has anyone got any info on these cats. I hear that they have done well racing in EU. I have also heard that they have sold a couple of them here in the US. Has anyone raced against them here and if so, how did they do? Also, are they available here?

I, too, have heard it is a good boat, but I have never come across one in the US. If there is a Cirrus F18 in the US, it hasn't done the nationals - possible I missed it, but you'd think it would stand out.

Last F18 they built is the B1. Boulogne won the Belgian Nationals with it last weekend.
I live in Belgium and we have some Cirrus at our club.
From what I heard it is quite a difficult boat to sail with, together with it you have less teams to share information with, because there are less boats.
It is like owning a Capricorn in Belgium. I guess if you want to invest time (and have the knowledge) to do the entire trim it's a very good boat.
