If you don't like the saab, maybe you'd like this one. 20mpg, and it's diesel!

Thanks, Eric, that's very thoughtful and complimentary. But if we sell the motorhome we have, I don't want to ever see another one. The only thing that is better about a motorhome than a cruisng boat is that at least the motorhome can't sink.

Hmmm, I think I just got an idea.

Thanks, Andrew. It WAS your idea, after all. I guess I was more excited about the $500 donation than the $1. Sorry.

Hobie1616, what a pleasant surprise to see you outside of your normal lair. confused

Yes, of course, I was just thinking that down here in South Florida it is commonplace for people to inadvertently run their vehicles into various bodies of water.....
Of course, I also realize that if that should happen to our motorhome, this post can be used against me in court.

Re: Rick's Motorhome Replacement - 05/14/09 03:48 PM

Our motorhome is still in good shape, but I have been wondering what happens to motorhomes when they die? Where do they go? Are there crushers big enough to handle motorhomes?

Does anybody know the answers to these questions?

Re: Rick's Motorhome Replacement - 05/14/09 04:35 PM

they are normally stripped by the claw of the walls and such then the frame and metal cab go to scrap metal.
The Glass and insulation is trash.
Some shreaders could accomodate the size but the reinforced chassis is too damaging on the shredding drums.

Question, why is the rear of the canopy on the A-10 Armoured???

Answer, BIRD STRIKES!

From a 20 year Air Force Vet. Air Force pilots will tell you that "SPEED IS LIFE" except 'Hog' drivers (I think they profer the GUN)!

WOW- That Saab-powered MH reminds me of my long ride on Rick's last bus in 1989. No brakes on either one, eh?
