So, looking at the new innovation, why would it be an improvement on the Capricorn?

well the Viper seems to be going fairly well...
is it assuming too much that the new F18 will be borrowing some of the sound features? Immediately obvious to my untrained eye is the transoms!

For the same reason the Wildcat is "faster" than the Tiger, the market has turned away from the Capricorn so AHPC needs a new product to re-claim their share.

No, these hulls have been totally designed by the Son & Father Team - Greg & Brett.

I kind of liked it when his site was "The Fish I tasted Twice" and other hits... We all know he's a great sailor, but how many of us get to see him goofing around like this video we took of him after one or two too many:

Makes complete sense. I'm not sure how this new model will look when it's outfitted, but I think it'll be tough to beat the Capricorn.

Ao just a matter of time until we see another Nacra similar to the N20? Any rumors on that one?

You missed the boat on that one. Do a search on the Nacra F20.

Is it just me, or is the bow angled down a bit in front? Reasoning? I could hypothesize, but I'd probably be wrong.

Karl, i am not sure if this is what you mean but, I was at Robbie D's yesterday and he was cleaning up one of the Alter Cup f-16's.

We were talking about the new F18 and he was going over the details. He explained they are changing the shape of the bows slightly to allow more volume further upfront (along with a dozen other items) to allow harder driving downwind

Those bows look great.

I know it is just a snapshot, but it looks like the C2 is clear ahead on the Wildcat, but I'd expect that Viper will be calling for a penalty turn.

actually I think the Wildcat has already rounded the weather mark and is starting to set their chute.

Wind must be screwy. It does not look like the right attitude for the boats in a port starboard situation. Coming from a different direction for each boat.

Just your average lake-racing, light air condition....

Thats not a big surprise given both have clear development paths from the Cap. Personally I like AHPC's development direction better than Hobies. I think the wildcat's spray rails are too gimacky and I am not sure if they make the boat slower or faster.

I think that someone should be calling the "Good Hands".
