I just got a private message here at Catsailor from..."the son of a wealthy Nigerian banker..." You know how the rest of it reads.

Was I the only one who got spammed or did he crack the entire user list? How do we block him? Thanks Rick/Mary.

Get the header info, forward the message and paste the header info into it.

Forward the message to the spammers email service. In this case it was gmail. They will delete the account.

It may not be a big deal but it will slow the spammers down.

Strange you would get it PM. I don't hear anyone else talking about it, nor have I even received any in PM.
We keep the site pretty secure. Had a vandal a few years ago, but made some major changes and been clean since.

Hey, I got a phone call the other day saying I had won $3.5M plus a new Mercedes, as third prize in a national raffle which I had been anonomously entered into. They promised I would receive the check and car keys within two business days after I paid the brokerage fees, to Liberty Enterprises in Fort Lauderdale.

Why yes I do, you see it was I who entered you into that raffle, so after you send them your money, you have to split the $3.5M with me.

I get to use the Mercedes on odd weekends too...right?

I should have told the caller that I really don't like Mercedes, so they could keep the car to cover the brokerage fees, and just send me the check.

But if it means that much to you, I'll pay their fees so you can use the car.

Tell you what, I'll sign the $3.5M check over to you if you'll send me your $1.75M first.
