Everglades Challenge catamarans are flying

Everglades Challenge catamarans are flying - 03/07/10 01:23 AM

Here is the SPOT tracking system for the Everglades challenge. Notice Lumpy and Bumpy averaged 20knots for over 10knmiles. Doesn't show Randy and his Tri, but report by Bumpy have Sew Sew leaving Checkpoint 1 one minute behind Bumpy. Maybe another record year. Noticed Bumpy not slowing down at night. Hope Sew Sew stays together. Weta's are doing well. Reports state a monoslug capsize. Gotta be some good stories coming out.

Bumpy and MachoMan finished at 9:12 this morning, shredding the old record with a time of 26 hours 12 minutes for the 300 mile course. They've headed home but will return to Key Largo next Saturday for the awards ceremony.

I thought there was some talk about Bumpy doing the long race around Florida. Have you heard anything about Randy and his Trimaran.
