The heading says stars and stripes, but its not.
Is it one of the D-class?

Doesnt look like a D.. Tom Roberts may be the expert. His ARC 30 fits inside the D rules.. A "D"
is 35 foot long. Three crew. Cant recall the width its either 15 or 20. Likely 15 being closer to square. Another is Rocket 88

maybe it's named "stars and stripes" but the two real stars and stripes catamarans were 60 feet. Their platforms were identical except one was fitted with a soft sail and the other a wing.

I seem to remember that 1 of the boats was on the west coast of Florida. Back in the 80's it was sitting in a boat yard in Coconut Grove for a few years.

The other stars and stripes was owned by a guy on the west coast of FL. Two years ago (I think), it was chartered for the chi-mac race by a potential buyer. The boat dismasted and the whole deal has been tied up in a legal sh!t-fight ever since. I think the boat may still be up north somewhere.
