Need some parts mystere 6m 1995 - 09/13/10 07:46 PM

Hi, I'm just bought a 95 mystere 6m and found that I need a boom and trampoline, the boom was repaired with a peice of wood and painted to match, the tramp 's stiching started to undo with every movement. Does any one have any advice or parts? I would also like to install a front trampoline. What do you think?

Hi Jolly, I strongly suggest SUNRISE YACHT PRODUCTS - http://www.multihullnets.com/. They have made dozens (that i personally know of) mystere tramps and are the best at making them i have found.

DO NOT USE SLO canvas and tramp. They have never made mystere tramps and took my old tramp as a template and never returned it (despite several people from this forum and others contacting them on my behalf)

I have a front tramp on my mystere (5.5) and love it. it holds my cooler, anchor, radio and 2 righting bags.

I put 2 small eyestraps in the front hulls (with backing pate) and attached it with those eyestraps and to the beam
(circled in blue) -

as per the boom, you could try contacting mystere in Quebec or simply make your own (probably for less money) with a simple alum pole.

no. the wing tramp would be for the XL wings that were available on some mystere's. I had a custom one designed (not shown). Above was an old G-cat tramp as my prototype.

the real one was made my Sunrise, it cost about $250 (us).

This was the design - [Linked Image]
You could save money on many less grommets, and omit the righting bag and anchor pockets

I think what he wants is a front tramp that he can get on. I've only seen one of those and that was on a boat in Canada. I doubt Sunrise made that one.

I have a small front tramp that I made which holds gear but wasn't designed to hold people. Mine looks much better than Andrews.

This is my first cat, here is a photo http://cache.lespac.com/1/grandephoto/35/10478935/21933385-3-1276286463.jpg ,, This is what the front tramp looks like on a similar cat http://www.yachting.qc.ca/puces/Photos/2008/0806064_2a.jpg
the front trampoline is my daughter's request.
Does anyone know if toranado parts are similar?

the bag (actually i need 2) is on a 3-1 block and lifts water (weight) to help pull the cat back down after a capsize.

Very neat. i had not seen a front beam / tramp on a mystere like that.

Apparently Mystere has made several with front beams and tramps (check out Yves' sailing school website and facebook page).

Not sure I dig the look though. Will probably copy Catman's front tramp setup when I break down and finally spend cash on a spin.

i dont mind the look as much as i wouldn't want the windage after a capsize, and it's very easy to burry the bows past the tips... i would guess its very easy to pitchpole with a tramp up there if you burry the bows in a blow
