Looking out my window right now, that's what it looks like.

Kinda impressive, as I sit in my house and look out the window.

Wind gusts over 60mph.

The threat of high winds also had Chicago officials contemplating steps they haven't taken in years - starting with closing down the city's busy and iconic Lake Shore Drive because of the prospect of 25-foot waves caused by 60 mph winds washing over it from nearby Lake Michigan.

No, it snows alot here every year, but usually not this much at once.

The thaw is over many days, wasn't bad last year.

Pretty funny. I am planning on taking the kids out sailing Saturday.

Saturday
South southwest winds 9 to 12 knots near shore to south southwest 13 to 16 knots well offshore. Seas 2 to 3 feet. Intracoastal waters a light chop. Slight chance of showers through the day. High temp of 79 degrees.

Same in West Michigan. Kids have 3 days off of school. Not near as bad as 1978 though. Three months until the boat goes on the beach.

I saw a electronic billboard today on the way to work; "Snowpocalypse 2011: It's Michigan, get used to it"

Gonna be 82 today in Sebring, with some wind...but I gota go to work!

More snow on top of mounds. In the photo, all those yards are completely flat with Blue grass in the summer.

Description: I'ts not a 'grainy' photo, it's snow, 6 more inches today, very little wind.
