Wax on or wax off

Freshly gelcoated hull. Should I put a coat of wax on as a first step or go straight to the hull coat? All advice is appreciated. If you recommend waxing first please also recommend a wax too. Thanks in advanced.

Collin, I'd use 60 grit if I were you... We're racing next weekend right?

Yep we will be there. I'll do your C2 first since you gave the great advice. All kidding aside are you coming to Ides of March? Should be a pretty good show.
