Spring Showdown Regatta - 03/22/11 06:17 PM

Folks,
I know it is a little late in the game to get this out but there is an around the cans race this weekend at the multihull-friendly Fort Walton Yacht Club. The NOR, sailing instructions, and registration form is located on the front page of the website, http://www.fwyc.org/. I don't know how many will show but since it is my home club I will support it! The weather looks like Chamber of Commerce beautiful!

See ya on the beach,
Bob wink

We can't make this one Bob, when is the next one? We still owe you a trip for making it down to the WildCat last year.

Are you and the trouble maker doing RTI this year? Cause if you're in we're in.

What?! You don't find it challenging to try and squeeze another .00024 knots out of .02 knots of total boat speed for 7 hours only to sail into a hole that finally gets the seabreeze after the entire fleet has sailed over the horizon.

F!@#ing pussy.

I was referring to Sweetness' story of your RTI together where you had to pull in (within sight of the finish) and go get a hotel...

Son of a b!@#h I had just about eliminated that experience from my memory (oldtimers has it uses). Thanks for letting me relive that glorious night again. Yes, I'm ready to drift it again! It can't be a drifter every year, can it?

If given a choice, I would opt for a drifter over a "holy sh$t I hope we live through this" kind of event.

I've never liked the sound of carbon fiber crunching in surf.
