IDEC capsizes

IDEC capsizes - 08/22/11 02:54 PM

Francis Joyon capsized his trimaran IDEC this morning shortly after starting his record attempt. He was about 90 miles into the attempt in 25 kt winds when a squal hit him. There is a report on TDS for those interested in more of the story.

Yeah, I was just cruising along when the boat flipped over...yadda, yadda, yadda... couldn't breath... yadda,yadda,yadda... may die....yadda, yadda, yadda... need tug boat.

so if you stuff a 100 foot trimaran, that's a long way to fall from the steering wheel...
