W T F? When did this happen? We've had really mild stuff down here - if you got this last night, we're damn sure in for it!

Yes last night I believe. taken from e-mails sent from the owners.
Yeah, our mast, though not broken like Jesse's, did get inverted. We managed to bend it back some. Peter also thinks he can get the holes repaired on the left ama in time for the race. Keep fingers crossed.
I was always impressed by how light these boats are but I never thought they could fly over 8' fences. Print My Canvas has had better days. Unfortunately Jasper's boat was a victim as well. I'll try to come down to watch you guys race next weekend and join you for a beer afterwards. There will be brighter days ahead.

We are trying to get them back on the water and helping any way we can. Thanks for the offer.

John you could give me your C2 and I could give them my Tiger. That will help.

At 1:39 you can see this was all just staged to gain sympathy and possibly a discount on a new C2.
CLEARLY, someone forgot to edit out the forklift holding the boat in the air.

Were these boats tied down in any way (even to their trailers)?

They are definitely known to fly, especially in T-storms. This site has carried many such story through the years.

There are clubs that require you to anchor your boat to the ground in some places more prone to this type of weather. It really sucks to be tied down and have someone else's boat land on yours, because his wasn't tied.

Definitely hate to see this type of damage, especially if it was preventable.

Don't know if they were secured to the trailers or not. Will find out next weekend for the kick off of the "San Francisco Formula 18 Cup". Should have all the details then with updates.
