Media Team for the Great Texas Announced - 03/05/13 08:02 PM

To all,

We are proud to announce that the entire media team from last year has committed to returning to the Great Texas this year.

We are so glad to have Jeremy Leonard of Sail Revolution back as the leader of the media team. We are also happy to announce that John Williams will be in front of the camera again. Behind the camera, Jorge Trevino will be helping out. And all the way from Minnesota, we are glad to see that Karl Brogger will once again be joining us.

Here is some background on Jeremy, John and Jorge that we put together last year, http://www.greattexas300.blogspot.com/2012/03/meet-live-streaming-team-for-great.html

We will once again be live streaming the race. We will have two personal watercraft to follow live from the water. We'll have lots of GoPros on the boats. Expect a big show this year!

with advances in AIS, it's a wonder they don't have them on portable VHFs which might help with the tracking if the GPS units have issues...

Might have a bit of a pickle for making in down..... Getting married the following weekend, me being in Texas the weekend prior might go over like a lead balloon.

Thoughts anyone?

Hell of an opportunity for a bachelor party.

Can you keep your boat?

Re: Media Team for the Great Texas Announced - 03/07/13 01:43 PM

Yes.

And I'm pretty sure a Mexican bachelor party with the GT300 crowd has "The Hangover III" written all over it. It'd be either a really good idea, or a really, really bad idea.

It only a bad idea if the rest of the media crew brings along the video gear.

Set the bar low, and continually fail to achieve it...

She told me I can do what I like. I question the level if appropriateness in going though. Everything is going to be at her parents place in the country, so there will be plenty of work that needs to be done prior.

It is, in fact, a trap...but you should also consider this a opportunity to demonstrate that you specifically hear and interpret words directly as they are spoken. You are but a simple creature.

You should have NEVER planned a wedding that close to the GT. Do I need to buy you a plane ticket again?....cause I will. Don't make me farm your job out to an illegal (you know I have connections).

Dude, please, farm my job out to an illegal. Hell, anyone. I'm ready to burn that bitch to the ground. M-F-ing cabinet shop...... F

You going to be coming back through here, or headed back to the Golden State first?

Karl, I'm heading out of this God foresaken frozen wasteland Sunday am. I'd swing by but the forecast is calling for light winds next week on the bay and I'm planning on doing some tanker wake surfing with David and his bro behind the Zodiac. I'll be picking you up at the air port in Houston like last year, so don't be making any plans.

As you will soon find out, its better to ask for forgiveness than permission.

Sometimes, it's better to not ask at all.

Slight hi-jack....That reminds me of the time (when I lived in Phx,Az.) I told my girlfriend that I was going ATV riding with my buddies one morning. I was gone for 14 days down in Rocky Point Mexico (Spring Break). She saw me on the news one night riding my quad on the beach and discovered where I was. Things were a little cold when I came home.
