Just got the July/August Catamaran Sailor. NACRA and Corsair have failed to pay their ad debts. Poor PR, they should pay up, now.

Given Corsair are owned by seawind, good luck with that.

What is the real story here? Maybe Nacra and Corsair don't think the site gets enough traffic to justify the ROI. I could understand the public flogging if they they agreed to keep advertising then stiffed the site but if it's a simple matter of not paying anymore then just pull the ads and move on.

Advertising is a strange thing nowadays. We're inundated with information and and people are so connected I don't know what pays. My business is different I know, but advertising has generated nothing but hassle for me in the past. But, that could be from not presenting it to the correct demographic too.

Maybe these guys have priced themselves out of the market?
Note that Mr. White himself is sailing one of the least expensive boats on the market and reportedly having a blast doing it.

Or perhaps people don't patronize supporters /advertisers anymore?
just you wait... the next generation (who grew up with life online) expect everything to be free

I'm considering a Weta, price point is very tempting.
