I wish I was interning down in Melbourne again this summer! I'm up in Indianapolis and will be sailing with CRAM this season.

Foods's gonna be prime time! Had the stick burner going all weekend! 6 butts smoked with hickory for the Saturday after race food fest! check out the facebook page for the space coast catamarna association.

Also, words on the street...

KPRR is now a Hobie Points regatta as the H16s usually show up in force!

Also Glaser and company will be on hand! more details to come!

Thinking of trying to go to this. However,...we obtained a 1971 Hobie 18 from a grave yard. We have it sailing again. Unfortunately it has the original mast with no plastic top. Will they let us sail? It has been a long time since being involved in "Hobie" event. I was probably not allowed many years ago too, but I digress....anyway, if someone has a handle on how things are done these days...
Cheers

If you go by the book the answer is no and you'll have to sail open. But, the Hobie 18's that typically come to the KPRR won't care if your boat has a plasctic tip or not and will just be glad you are there.

Nicely put, Jake.

I heard an old friend and customer of mine sailed on a Falcon 18. That Air Force boy fell into early retirement onto a Formula 18 and loves it. He sailed a NACRA 5.0 and Stiletto 23 when he lived here. He drove Hobie 16s on Kanehoe Bay while he was stationed in Hawaii. Y'all watch out, Marc is now living in Jacksonville and loves the F 18.
