I am showing the following Areas as needing a rep:

2. US Sailing's website has been redesigned, and is getting ready for launch. We need content for our page. For the initial launch, we would like to include content (links, at a minimum), for the following. Please reply with any links and info that you would like us to include.

Re: US SAILING MHRC SPRING MEETING AND WEB UPDATES - 05/22/14 02:26 AM

Quick reminder, our spring meeting is tomorrow night, please be sure your membership is current.

Meeting Date: Thursday, May 22, at 8:30 pm EST

If you'd like to participate, PM or email me for call-in details.

Agenda:

1. Confirm members (Area Reps) of the US Sailing Multihull Racing Committee for 2014 (see original email below).

2. Form an ad hoc trophy subcommittee (need 1-2 volunteers), with the following goals:
2.a. Acquire a suitable companion (traveling) trophy for US Multihull Championship (Alter Trophy event).
2.b. Acquire and dedicate a suitable trophy to honor Darline Hobock's legacy of service to our sport.

3. Gather content for new US Sailing website. Need 1 volunteer to coordinate.

4. Generate ideas and create goals to populate a long-term plan for the Multihull Racing Committee. With a keen focus on the key elements our charter (Promotion, Communication, Handicapping, Safety, Championships, Training and Youth Development), we seek to differentiate ourselves from (but not compete with) our strong individual class associations, by offering complementary services which will benefit all multihull sailors and classes.

Please be prepared to discuss items that we can act upon for 2014, 2015 and 2016, per our directives in the US Sailing Regulations:

Category (Regulation):

Promotion (4.04.D.1)
Communication (4.04.D.2)
Handicap Rating Systems (4.04.D.3A)
Safety Programs (4.04.D.3B)
Championships (4.04.D.3C)
Training (4.04.D.4)

5: Other new business:
5.a Container support for World Championships
5.b Distance Racing Subcommittee

Thanks, looking forward to a productive meeting!

Mike
