Just came across this recently. Has anyone given it a try?

Free hobbiest access seems a pretty decent option.

Interesting. If the free version allows you to output drawings or export other useful file types, it could pretty pretty interesting for the hobbyist. The fact that they differentiate between "public files" (unlimited) and "private files" (10 with free account) makes me think they are also working on building a large database of drawings (like GrabCAD) and leveraging the free version to build those files.

the school where my grommets attend has about 6 3-d printers. They use MAYA free software.

If I can figure out how to use it, perhaps it would be a good way to evaluate small scale foil design...?

Obviously it wouldn't have the strength/light weight but might give you an idea of some general characteristics prior to laying one up in carbon?

My evil master plan would be a small tri (maybe bigger than a weta) with shock absorbing foils to keep ride stable and possibly auto-adjust (like a moth). Heck... maybe get Google to sail it for me?

Or (more probable) maybe print up a few RC models to evaluate before trying to resin infuse one like Jake did
