Sail "tape" - 09/17/16 09:34 PM

Hello all, long time no post for me....
There is a type of tape at the bottom of my Ullman main that runs from the clew to the tack and is basically fibers underneath a transparent tape. On my Glaser main, it is also at the head running to the top 2 and 3rd batten pockets at the leach of the sail. It really seems like a HMW fiber tape. It is clearly meant to take some load but it isn't sewn into the sail. Anyone know what this is called or where to source it?
Thanks

it is made by Dim/poly and you can just substitute a dacron or laminate strip. We don't use it at the head anymore.

I have some carbon SRT tape, can sell it by the foot if you like.
