Rick created a directory for me. I just stuffed about 50 shots in it.

There are quite a number of pictures that show boats in trouble and a number of them do not look like a simple capsize. There is even a picture of a hull with an alarmingly large whole in it. What happened? How many boats did break? What was the reason for the breakages?
Phil - interested in the F18ht development

Phil,
I'm sure someone will pipe up with more detail but from my recolection of conversations that APPEARED to be factual:
- One spinnaker bail failed on a mast
- A few Harken pulleys on the snuffer systems failed (sounds like they were a bit on the small side)
- A partial sinking resulting from a gust of wind and the resulting port starboard collision (this was the hole that you saw).
- (just remembered this one) There appears to have also been a bent boom and a bent (broken?) spin pole that resulted from flailing bodies during capsizes.
Given past history it doesn't sound like the HT had many problems considering the number of boats that were assembled new out of the box for the event. I keep hearing reference to some serious I20 past failures when they were the Alter Cup boat but I don't recall hearing about any failures in the Tigers last year.
