Condor 16 Cat

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone out there has information on the Condor 16 catamaran. I have been offered one for a £300 and wondered if it was worth it. I just want something to have a bit of fun on the beach and not spend a fortune on it.

The Condor is an old but sound design that was re-named the Hurricane 4.9 some time ago and updated.

Search this site for "Condor" and you will find some information I have posted before.

I have a Condor which cost about that price and it gives me very good sailing.
It is a little old fashioned now compared with Darts etc. but still fun.
You need to watch the trampoline is in good shape otherwise you may be in for a hefty bill for repairs, they rot in the sunlight.
The main problem I have had is that some of the alloy rivets have corroded and pop off from time to time.
If you want to race you may find race officers saying they cannot find the Portsmouth yardstick as it no longer appears on the RYA website but I think it is 810. [color:"green"] [/color] [color:"black"] [/color]
