Talked with Performance Catamarans and they are talking about bringing a container to Carlyle from CA. The container can ship up to 10 boats. Contact me if you are interested in getting in on the container. mhill2@swbell.net

We just received a registration from Canada on our website. It looks like we'll have both coasts well represented.

23 boats currently registered is a great start. We are going to break 50 at this event.

If you are going to Nacra Nationals and on your way home would like to leave your boat at Carlyle Lake you are welcome to at no charge for the month between Nacra Nationals and NAF18 North Americans.

The cabins are a hot commodity so if you want in on a cabin please register early. You can only get a cabin through NAF18 registration. There aren't many left.

There is a house boat available on the lake which can be parked on site for the week. Supposedly sleeps 11 but I have my doubts about that. Maybe more like 8 people tops. It would be fun if someone rented it for a little party barge and spectators could motor out and catch the action on it. Contact me if you would like to rent the houseboat. mhill2@swbell.net

Lot's of parties and entertainment planned. Beer truck on site all week. Don't miss this year!!!!

There are about 7 teams planning to be there from Southern California and only two of them have registered yet.

I am still trying to talk more into going. A couple of the teams from Northern California area are showing an interest as well.

I do not see even one team from Canada that has registered. I think we could count on about 4 or 5 from there as well.

It is shaping up nicely.

Actually I do not think that Performance's plan is to send a whole container of boats. Jack contacted me to find out if there were enough sailors, in SoCal, to almost fill a container. I think he is only planning on delivering a couple of boats to Carlyle. I would also bet that they would be boats already ordered.

I did not mean to give the wrong impression. What I meant was that there is a container of boats (new and used) being put together by Performance and that folks that would like their boat shipped from Southern CA should contact me so I can put them in touch with the coordinator for the shipment. I did not mean to imply that 10 new boats were being shipped from CA. mhill2@swbell.net

No worries Mike, just having a little frustration here getting some orders fulfilled. I may see you there since I have some relatives down there. Ever eat at Fio's La Fourchette?
