5.0 Roller Furling Jib

Hello All, I'm in need of some direction on how to rig the roller furling jib setup on my '86 5.0. I think I have all the parts, here is what I have.
New Forstay(Shorter)
Jib Halyard (7x7SS wire with thimbles and a block on one end)
Roller Drum
Swivel

Please help me figure out how this is supposed to go onto the boat, Every which way I have imagined this going on has problems. Thanks

Do NOT buy a Hobie to get a roller furler jib- whoever responded to that obviously isn't very familiar with the comparable Hobie- the 16 (with fully battened jib!).
I had a 5.0 (#1030) for 17 years- I rigged it with a roller furler for "cruising" only- I raced with the "stock" setup. My boat had the jib halyard that ran down the front of the mast so you could adjust jib tension on the water. I simply put the swivel at the top of the forestay, the roller drum at the bottom. You have to add a small cleat on the front beam for the furler line. Raise the jib "normally" but attach the jib tack to the furler. Make sure your jib sheets are long enough to reach when furled. Slack the halyard some (you have to experiment to get the best amount), release the sheets and furl. The top of the halyard will end up wrapping around the forestay but I never had a problem with it. The 5.0 sails pretty well on just the main so if you get overpowered you can furl and then furling when launching/landing is a nice ability too. If you really want to do it "right" then you have to use a forestay with a jib block incorporated (ala a Hobie 14/18 or a Prindle 16/18 etc. with halyard that runs inside the jib luff) which is more hassle/expense/weight/problems IMO.
Enjoy the 5.0- tough boat that handles high wind well. If you have an '86 you hopefully have a lighter boat than mine which was the old solid fibreglass with stringer construction.

I'm not that familiar with either the H16 or the 5.0 but... I was just ribbing my neighbor Jeff (hence the J/K) as I just bought a H16 that came with a roller jib. LOL. He knows far more about both boats than I do!

Thanks guys, I figured it out, I was missing a block, which I found in one of my many boxes of junk, its making sence now. I have the setup where the halyard runs back through the jib luff.

ive put a furler on my 5.0 im sailing with my 10 y.o daughter it's just a bit of insurance it's good to get back to the beach and furl the jib the factory here in AUS said that they do a lot of coversion for rec sailors etc they use a different jib lighter dacron the big jibs dont like being rolled
i didnt bother putting a cleat on the front beam i just use the barber hauler cleat to hold the furler string ive also found that with the bridle foil ive had to pull the furler parrallel with it to stop the furler from jamming up and ive also found that the jib should be side it rolls from

Guys:

I have a small block with a becket on mine on a piece of line long enough to go from a cleat on the front crossbar to the furler. I run the line from the furler through the block and tie to the bridle by the furler. This gives me a 1 to 2 purchase . For every foot I pull it furls 2. Works great for sitting between races.
