I did that conversion on my Tiger. Was dead easy - had to drill 2 holes per gudgeon casting (4 of the 6 bolted straight up). Just a word of warning, check the bolts/nuts are tight periodically, one of mine worked loose and allowed the gudgeon casting to move ever so slightly which was enough to end in catastrophe at the worst possible moment. I epoxied the bolts in with the repair and have had no problems since smile

I had no problem installing the rudders. You need the new gudgeons to allow the rudders a bit more room. I like the set up but have heard from others that they see no difference. I thought it was much easier to sail.

My boat with the newer rudders are owned by Benj in Canada. If you need to see it working you can take a look at his boat if you are at a regatta with him soon.

As I remember it took several times on the boat to get the rudders exactly right, but it was easier to balance than the old rudders, for me.

Later,
Dan

Thanks all
I'm trying to get the new system. Wanted to know what was involved. So just take the old gudgeons off and some of the holes are reused and some need to be re drilled.
Got it hopefully things go well.

Normal club race: No biggee.
When doing well in a State championship: Major annoyance!

It's a very sore point. I didn't have a good State Titles last year.
