Are they really running all 110 f18s off of one start. I know that the four flight system had it's problems, but that is quite a line!

It seems that it's one start. Hence the 3 recals and the BFD. Nothing beats a 3 deep line.

Yes. Quite a few teams just show up for the raid. Some even change boats for it or add spinnakers
one year they lost a days racing due to lack of wind, so they did 2 short course races and then the raid on the same day. The h16 youth teams had entered the raid with spi so we carried the poles and loaded chutes on the RIB and to do a quick on the water pitstop to convert the boats while they were getting the start line set up.
