The competitions is hotting up for the F18 Worlds next week - 06/26/10 11:17 PM

Just saw a report posted on AHPC facebook:

"AHPC & 2B Sailing teams are now in full preparation for the F18 World Titles next week at Erquy, France. The C2’s have now all arrived, and the last of the boats were assembled on Friday.

Then it was off to the beach for a regatta at Wassenaar, in Holland to compete against about 30 -35 F18.

Saturday 26th June results in 5 – 10 knots at Wassenaar, Holland:

Race 1: Robbie Daniels 1st , Bundy 2nd, Greg Goodall 5th.
Race 2: Greg Goodall 1st, Bundy 2nd, Robbie Daniels 4th
Race 3: Bundy 2nd, Greg Goodall 4th, Robbie Daniels 5th.

Final results had these 3 C2 are in the top 4 places overall.
Very impressive effort considering that the boats were brand new, very slippery and not yet fully tuned."

Looks like it is going to be a very hot fleet next week at Erquy, and it looks like we can stay tuned from our office desks.

Check out 2010 F18 World Titles "All boats and buoys will be equipped with a GPS unit. Moreover, we have photo and video coverage and a summary will be published on-line each evening."

The Dutch know how to run a regatta. Check out KZE2010

Robbie Daniels gives his coaching away and finally gets to sail and takes out 3rd place.
