I am fairly new to sailing in general and catamarans in particular. I looking into buying a Hobie Cat 16. Is this a practical boat to be sailed just 1 person or will I always need a second person aboard? Any feed back on my choice? Any pitfalls to avoid? Thanks

Just an additional information, When the boat has reached the proper course on the new tack, straighten the tiller.

16s can be sailed single-handed very easily. When tacking, release the jib lat so it pulls you through the eye of the wind.

It's great fun to fly a hull all by yourself.
