Miami Yacht Club needs H16's - 03/04/06 06:15 PM

Miami Yacht Club is hosting the US Youth Multihull Championships July 13-16th. They need help in finding people willing to charter their H16's to kids from all around the country. These boats will be fully insured. If you have a boat in good shape in or around Florida and willing to make a little side money, this is the time to help get kids into Multihull sailing.

Contact Andrea Livingston @ AndreaL@bellsouth.net or Linda Evans at 305-778-7669 for more information.

This regatta is the qualifier for ISAF Youth Worlds to be held in Canada 2007

How many 16's do you think you need for this event?

Hi Mary:
We expect 20 teams. This is a BOB event again this year. Some bring theirs, but we have teams that are looking for good charter boats. The expectation is 10 additional charters.

We have three crews coming from Jacksonville, several from New York, one or two from California, two from the Maryland area, several more from the boy scouts in Florida and several teams from Miami area that we know of. The unknowns are always in the wings so to speak and until sign-ups are complete we won't know for sure the count. It seems though we get around 20 teams each year.
