St Leonards State Titles - 01/28/09 02:06 AM

For anyone thinking of camping, the St Leonards Seaside Caravan Park has plenty of powered sites available at $30 a night for 2 adults. The number to call is 03 5259 2764.

Bugger... It doesn't pay to book in advance. I booked a few weeks back and got charged $43 per night for me and a 2 man tent. shocked

On a happier note, I'm taking delivery of a new sail the weekend before. Not sure if it will help my "skills" at all but at least the *rse end of the fleet will look a bit smarter this year. smile

Is only the back end of the Cats that needs smartening up - The sloops have been looking smart for quite a while with a certain 'Botany Blue' mossie way out there! eek

Trevor,

That's a fair point you make laugh though given the 3 min head start I was sort of hoping to not see quite as much of a certain "Botany Blue" boat this year. grin

Trevor,

Will it be cat or sloop rigged?
I am starting to think about it!

Hi Peter

Definately get in there!

I will be sloop rigged - Unless I can find another boat for the crew to sail!

We have booked our accomodation in St Leonards, thanks to the real estate agents there for their help, so far 3 boats from our club in SA will be making the trip.

Any others from SA????

Simon,

I booked a camping site today and it was $43 per night. frown

It appears that if it's a long weekend then peak rates apply. sick

Apparently there is some clause in the fine print.

Regards,

Peter

Re: St Leonards State Titles - 02/27/09 01:09 PM

We have 16 entries received so far. 4 sloops and 12 cats. Not bad for a whole week before the event.

If you haven't entered yet you can do it at the Online Entry page of the VMCA web site (you can pay your entry fee at registration).

Now that it has been blowing 30 to 40 knots for 3 days crazy , the weather pressure charts and the forecast indicates that it should be perfect for 3 days of racing. smirk

What a welcome change !!! cool

Regards,

Peter

p.s. It would be even better if it was forecast to be a bit warmer.
