Is there any recommendations on what Boom sections are used and were to buy from?
Cheers

I used a sabre mast section and it works pretty well. If you cut the track off the flat is great for an outhaul slot. I used a dyneema loop around the entire boom like the A class plenty of room for internal running of mast rotation and outhaul.

I'm just trying out a discarded broken Laser top section.
So far so good. It bends more than the Sabre/Arrow mast though.
It doesn't get any cheaper than that!

1.6 I think. I can measure it tomorrow if you like.

1.6 sounds right cheers ;-)
we have used 50mm x 1.6mm ally on all our boats until we went carbon about 5 seasons ago. never had any issues with the ally sections or carbon ones for that matter. carbon section is smaller again than the ally.
