hello all i noticed that when sailing a sloop that they have eyelets on the tramp which a rope goes though then the cleat attachers to the rope my question is does the rope that goes through the eyelets on the tramp attach to any thing under the tramp or just ties off under the tramp eyelets as if just went through the eyelets if sheeterd in would it lift tramp thanx michael

Hi michael. The rope is just threaded through the eyelets and tied off underneath the eyelets normally with a figure eight knot to stop it pulling through the eyelet. The tramp does lift when the job is sheeted on hard.
