Dakota cat vs Farrier tris

Dakota cat vs Farrier tris - 12/28/03 12:07 AM

Here is a question for larger multihull sailors. Has anyone compared the performance and accomodations of a Dakota 33 cat (a modified Great Barrier Express, I think) to one of the Farrier tris, like the F31? The Farriers (Corsairs) are immensely more successful, but do they offer a superior performance/accomodations package? The Dakota cat, sold out of Jacksonville, FL seems to be a real bargain in price (at under 100k) when compared to the prices of the trimarans.

The main attraction of Fboats is that they can be launched/ retrieved in about an hour and basically beached almost anywhere. The interior room of the f31/F9 is plenty for most weekend sailors. The Fboats have worldwide fleets...Farrier is a "Pied Piper" sort and has the following to prove it. You can race in organized events all over the USA. Go to the FCA site and monitor or join and ask questions.
