Proud to present .... - 03/27/07 06:29 PM

my Blade !

Last Sunday I set up de boat. As it was the first time I thought it wouldn't be easy to set up the boat....
But in fact it was really easy to set it up !
We didn't hoist the spi yet, because it was to windy to do that on the beach.

Tomorrow we'll go sailing for the first time !

Regards,
Gill

Very smart, Congratulations!

Now you're a real F16 sailor (or will be tomorrow) - have a great sail.

Man...with a sail number like that, you gotta name her "Devil's Playground"

Congrats, and enjoy!

Anybody else notice the combination between the sponsor name "Private banking" and the sailnumber 666 ?

Hummm ?!

Best of enjoyment tomorrow Gill ! And welcome to the club of F16 sailors.

That boat is looking good !

Very nice. Just wondering if you would be willing to divulge what you get for putting all of those advertisements on your boat?

In the US, the USF16 class has discussed gaining a sponsor for our spi's. If anyone knows of a nationwide business that would consider this let me or Tom Shannon know.

Hi,

The boat is build by Hans Klok. I will post some more pictures when we can pull the spin.

Last Wednesday I didn't have my camera to shoot some pictures. There was no wind at all so all we did was floating. But the boat is really good at floating ;-) so were happy !

Fully riged the boat weighs 115 kg.

Me and my girlfriend just bought a house so we came up with the idea of a sponsor to keep everything within budget. We've got a deal to sponsor some fees at our club, meaning we seriously reduced costs during the sailing season.
And I don't mind having something in the sails.
Between brackets, we only carry their logo, we don't have any money here ... ;-)

Regards,
Gill

Since you are so close by, are you planning on doing any racing in Holland?

We will come to the global challenge in August. I don't think we will do other races this year in Holland because we are currently renovating our house and there are already lot's of races in Belgium.

Next year we plan to do as much races as we can, this year we want to get to know the boat better ...

Some years back we participated in Rondje Tiengemeten, which is a very lovely (but expensive) race.

Gill
