Are F16s quicker than 18 foot Skiffs????

Last year I showed the 18 Skiffs that an 18 footer has their number. I think it is time we show them a 16 footer does also.

So how many F16s are coming.

FYI, last year

Last year

Day 1, Race 1 – F18 by 4 min 43 sec in a 25 min 39 sec race - 18 plus knots

Day 2, 3 races starting in 5 to 7 knots increasing to 13 by race 4.

Race 2 – F18 by 7 min 44 sec in a 32 min 41 sec race
Race 3 – 18 Skiff by 52 sec in a 42 min 51 sec race
Race 4 – F18 by 2 min 18 sec in a 25 min 13 sec race

We f#$ked up the start in Race 3, going into irons whilst racking up with a 49er and then took the wrong side of the course. Gave the 18 Skiff a half a leg start and nearly caught them by the end of the race.

Or doesn't your memory stretch back a couple of years to when I beat all the 18's on "Altered". <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> You know how I hate to rub it in.

I know you are just trying to stir up some entries, but I have already made other non sailing plans, so I will leave it to you this year.

Regatta this weekend coming.

Tornado has pulled out due to boat still in bits after winter refresh.

Just spoke with the A class boys... They are pumped and will be out in force.

I'll be sailing Macca and Lynchy's weapon with Lynchy.

Its the one and only. Taipan 5.7 out of production for a long time. Only 20 or so built. This is the only one with a carbon mast.

5.7 hulls only
