seems to be back up..

doesn't seem to be working too well though. also got a PM from a new member called 'Eternity' - looked suspiciously like spam.

Has the site been hacked?

The site was offline for most of today after a hardware upgrade on the server went quite badly wrong, and it had to be restored from backup which took the best part of 9 hours.

The PM spam is a separate issue, which I'll talk to Simon about.

I've killed off the spammer and deleted all the PM's they sent so anyone who's not logged in and read it; it should have gone....

We could; if "we" wish, disallow new users to send PM's until we validate they are real people who are interested in the F16.

Simon, we need people like you in my country to delivery fast&fatal justice. If we had them maybe I'd still have a job.

On a serious note, even if the situation was dealt with and resolved fast, maybe we can have a "report to administrator" button or something similar for future use, just in case some bots are wiser and not that obvious.
