The orange line is just a pretty line but doesn't serve any real purpose apart from showing where the gates are.
For a more reliable rhumbline its best to open Google Earth and draw a line in that, IMHO you are going a little too far west and will lose opportunities to play the shifts (could be wrong though).
The front of the fleet has already started to sail upwind in the doldrums towards Fernando the Naranja
