Jake, that is true of many/most pickup beds. The lighting harness should be grounded to the frame, not the bed. The beds are typically mounted on rubber to reduce vibration and speed installation. The truck cab is grounded to the frame as it is impractical to run a ground to each electrical device there. <br><br>Mike Teets
