Well I guess Fleet 250 gave up on their "objective 100" goal they set last year but i'm just reminding everyone out there about the statue of liberty race next Sunday July 1st! There is also a 30th anniversary party Friday nite the 29th and a practice distance race on the 30th.
It's a great time whether your there to race or go for a long fun sail around the Statue. It's a great way to spend the 4th weekend!

I'll be there Friday night to sail Saturday and Sunday. Who else on here is going? Last year some guys came all the way from Texas so there is no excuse that it's too long of a drive.

Seems things this year are a little more subdued than last year. I'm coming up with a few more boats from the Chesapeake area. Think we have 4-8 boats coming from WRCRA. Mostly I20's with a couple of F16's. Should be a fun weekend!!!

i don't think they have an online registration for this year and haven't see anything else about numbers. Not a whole lot of advertising going on but looks like the weather is going to be great for camping. hopefully there will be some breeze for the sailing part as well!! congrats on Texel btw...

Trey,
You coming up again this year?
I'll be there Friday nite. Sounds like lots of I-20s this year, maybe?

We are talking about our plans right now.
I need to be in Maryland until 10:00 on saturday, so I wouldn't be in until very very late. We're debating...

Its definitely lower key this year. After all the capsizes and DNFs last year in the big air (especially the RC30 under the Verrazano Narrows Bridge) the Coasties almost cancelled us.
We have more safeguard in place this year. It will take a couple of years before the CG trusts us completely again. Til then we are running it with a little less fanfare. But we are running.

Come join us.

Trey,

Todd, Leanne and I left MARY-land around 3pm Saturday last year - had beer in hand at 8:30pm thanks to Leanne. Only traffic was in MD and was caused by the tolls. GO!

Or, stay in MD watch my kids.:)
