Hello all,

I've noticed from posts that there was a Training Weekend last year that seemed to be quite successful.

Any chance there will be one this year?
I ,for one, could sure use it!<img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />

Cheers

Thanks Peter.

I'll be there if it's on.

I'm planning on adding a Kite once I've had a season under the belt learning to control the girl as is so if the Kite Titles go ahead, I'll probably come anyway on a fact finding mission regardless of the training day.

Cheers

Hi Clavin
The weekend of the titles we are planning to have non kite boats there racing as well.
This would give you and others opportunity to sail <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Will,

Loch Sport is on the Gippsland Lakes. Go to Sale then head towards the ninety mile beach and just before Golden Beach turn left. The next town is Loch Sport.

The Notice of Race for the Spinnaker States at Loch Sport is now up on the VMCA calendar. There are pointers for accomodation in there.

The recommended option is to camp at the caravan park right next to the club.

The training, social, spinnaker-states weekend is coming up soon at Loch Sport (2 weeks away).

Can anyone planning to go please let me know. You can call me on 5156 6486 (leave a message if I'm not there) or send me an email via the VMCA feedback form

This will be a big help with catering for the barbeque on Saturday night.

Thanks.

Tim.
Count us in one sloop rig with spin, The only thing that will stop us is the weather forecast.
McRae was lots of fun with the spin. Our main objective was to see if we could gett the spin up and down from the crew position and yes it was an outstanding success. Now all we have to do is get the rest of the boat and crew going to right way.

Peter. Since the forecast didn't stop you going to McRae I expect to see you at Loch Sport no matter what!

Thanks Peter,

I think I'll do the early start on Sat. If the forcast rain comes early It mightn't be so much fun putting up a tent in the dark AND the rain.

I'll aim for 10.00 and look forwad to meeting you then.

Cheers

Tim's done the results and official report on the web page but I thought I'd better do something from the Non Spin dudes! all one of me.<img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

A big thank you to Peter for allowing me the honour of being the first rescue for their new boat <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> and for his assistance in getting my mast un-stuck from the bottom of the lake on Saturday.<img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

And also a big thank you to all the guys who took the time to answer my questions, go over my boat and sail, and coach me on the water. Learned heaps....much to practice.<img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I would recommend this type of weekend to anyone who wants to sail their boat better! <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
