Hi all. I just acquired an '82 hobie 16 and am in the process of getting it "shipshape" so i can go out on the river to learn how to sail it. i am in the south end of Vero and was wondering about any local marine rules regarding cats on the Indian River and also, where do all of you catsailors meet so i can possiby get some much needed sailing tips or just introduce myself to other cat owners and check out your boats? Hope to hear from some of you.

I'm sure you know about Performance Sail by now. Scott is great about helping sailors get started. I was there just last weekend, and they were having a sailing party of sorts and it looked like a lot of fun. If you don't know, they are on US1 by the Partick Causeway.

My name is Gus, and I live in T-ville. There is usually sailing action there, or in the Merritt Island area of Jetty Park. Personally I am now looking for a new boat, and I can't decide over the H Wave of H16.

Best of luck to you!
