Nice boats you have with that auscat A and moth. I wonder which other boats you have. You seem to be a boat collector just like Kirt, Phill and my humble self.

I think Kirt has some 6 to 7 boats of which he sold a few in the last months. P15, P18, nacra50, One off A-cat, 18square, Taipan 4.9

Phill has or had Cobra, paper tiger, Taipan 4.9 and is looking at building an A-cat in the future.

Myself ; Prindle 16, Prindle 18 genaker and one Taipan 4.9 (F1
6HP) coming up. I just avoided owning a Cirrus Energy too; and I'm still looking at skiff as you know. But first I have to find a better winterstorage area.

Ok..

Guess I cant get my head around adding rules for the sake of adding rules.. I see safety issues as being the domain of the racing commitee not the class..

Stewart-
I don't disagree with you here, but the F16 HP rules are loosely based on the successful F18 rules which DO, apparently, contain such provisions. Obviously in Aus and US the race organizers commonly "cover" these issues but in other parts of the world (EU?) they may be commonly "covered" by class rules. I think last thing any of us wants is for an F16 HP (or any!) sailor to be lost due to a lack of safety equipment. And I know, we can write all the rules we want and some people still won't follow them but if it helps save even one life it's worth it to me.

just checked the A class regs.. not mentioned.. neither could I find it in the Tornado rules. (didnt spend a lot of time searching)
Is it in the Tiapan rules? Stealth? Its definately not in the other International skiff classes I know..

As for the safety aspect.. I know of a few very experienced sailors who drowned when their trap hooks snagged wires.. perhaps we should look at also carrying wire cutters?
