After may fantastic years of very hard service in the windy and rough waters of Hawaii, I have performed some preventative maintenance repair projects. This included replacing the front cross bar and installing inspection ports in the hulls to see how the bulkhead under the front cross bar saddle is holding up. You may know that my production year, 1992, is known for having catastrophic hull failures with the bows folding in and breaking off if you happen to have one of the boats that was manufactured with insufficient support in this area.

I discovered that the bulkhead had separated from both hulls and even split horizontally. Offering zero support. I reglassed the joints and the crack and I believe the boat is now good for many more years of service. You can see my photos of the repairs on my home-page at:

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about this repair job.
