Hi Bob,
At the F17 NAs several sailors soaked their spinnakers in a commercial solution to rejuvenate the fibers. What was the product? (I think it was rather expensive.) Looking back, did it help? How long did the effect remain?

Wally,

The product of choice is the Holmenkol Seal and Glide available through the big sailing barns like APS, Layline, etc. It really helps with the snuffing spinnakers. It lasts about a season and then just re-apply. Make sure you coat the inside of the snuffer bag as well! For an older spinnaker it should add a bit of new life and the product is recommended by the class sailmaker.
