I hear some states are Nazi's about it.. will ticket you for having to much "over-hang" (off the back of your trailer) and some are much more liberal about things like "taking up both north and southbound lanes".

You should se emy F31R when trailering, approx 13 ft of mast out the back of the boat, approx 20 ft from rear axle.
