I noticed that Elliot Pattison has a few new Nacra sails for sale at decent discounts. I'm just a satisfied customer that wishes he owned a Nacra that needed sails.

I missed out on the white kite by a day. Damn procrastination.Kinda makes you wonder what's up with them.

Gulf Coast relocated from Cali...
I wonder if this means the N20 sails for the US boats are comming from Performance sails now. I think the Nacra class sails may have been made in China for E/P because the custom order sails I have bought for other boats were TOP quality. Lately it's been a crap shoot when it came to the quality of our class legal sails from them. I hate to mention any of this since Skip has allways gone the extra mile for me. The new alluminum mast boat in SD has Performance Sails, so we should be able to get them as well for our carbon sticks like the Europeans have been. In 07 when Mischa won the Tybee, he was running a Performance chute, then shortly after, the Nacra North American class rules clearly stated we couldn't run them. Now it dosen't say anything about it. Interesting to see what will happen. I hope I can legally run a lower aspect Performance chute for those power reaching runs up the coast.

I think that's pretty much the case. EP is no longer making the 20 or F18 Nacra factory sails.

Jake,
Was there a class announcement on this?
I bought a new jib in June and a new spin in August... likely would have waited had I known.
Hard to believe that Performance will be able to offer the same exact sail as EP.

Is this info directly from Jack or Skip? If not, I think this is just another rumour in the on going saga of the N20 alum mast.

Bob wink

Oooo sorry...I didn't mean to make a statement...sorry guys. I don't know anything for fact. I really mistyped that. I meant to say that it also appeared to me that they aren't making the sails based on the liquidation through EP and seeing the transition to Europe.

That said - Bob, you would be the guy in the know!

Jeeeezz Jake! Way to get the rumour mill started!

I saw this "used" section of there website back in the summertime....however, the sails were not quite this discounted. So saying that EP is no longer making the sails based on this liquidation might not be true.. I hope it's not, I don't want to be using EP sails against Performance Sails!

Seems to me that there must be some reason for these discounts... the date on these sails show they are all pretty old.. maybe that's why.
