A question to those who have released plans for the F12,

Do the plans have liabilty disclaimers, do you have to have insurance to sell or distribute plans for these boats?

Or is this something you don't even think about.

Merry Xmas

Gareth

Grob,

I have professional liability insurance, but I'd say 75% of yacht designers don't. We do a lot of commerical work, hense the need for insurance.

For a 12' sailing cat it would be very difficult to show the designer was at fault in the event of a serious injury or death.
