Is there a minimum crew weight for the F-18? If so, where is it found. I am scoring a Portsmouth race with a Nacra F-18 in the mix. I do not see a minimum crew weight listed in the Class Weight Table for Multihulls chart. There is a weight of 308 lbs. listed for the Tiger. Do you use this weight for all the F-18s?

Thanks for the info.

John, here is the rules on weight:

3.2.1 There are three categories of crew weight :

(i) of 253 lbs to less than 286 lbs

(ii) 286 lbs to 308 lbs

(iii) above 330 lbs

3.2.2 The crew in the category of 253 lbs to less than 286 lbs shall carry a weight equal to half of the difference between 286 lbs and the actual weight of the crew. The weight shall be fixed to the outside of the forward crossbeam on the port side and shall be removable for
control checking. (small sail plan)

B.3.3. CHANGE OF CATEGORY
The crew in the category of 308 lbs to 330 lbs may use a corrector weight to compete in the upper category. (large sail plan)

The corrector weight, equal to half of the difference between 330 lbs and the actual weight of
the crew shall be fixed to the outside of the forward beam on the port side and shall be
removable for control.
