In the european multihull regattas I see, it would appear the vast majority of female sailors are driving the boats. In the USA it would appear to be opposite this. Any particular reason for this?

Any particular reason for this? More seriously, I think it make sense to put the lighter ones on the tiller, and women are usually lighter.
